Judy Perfect
I live in Glenlyon, just outside the town of Daylesford, where I have a studio in my garden and in which I work most days.
After many years teaching in secondary schools - print-making, sculpture, ceramics and painting, I then completed 4 years of Post Graduate Studies in Fine Art with Honours at the Victorian College of Arts. In retirement, I have continued my love of Watercolours.
Now that I am living in the country I like to paint and draw the local landscape. I have a number of sites that I return to, around Daylesford and surrounding districts like Mt Franklin, Guildford, Vaughan Springs and Black Hills near Kyneton. Mostly I paint outside in the landscape, setting up my easel directly in front of the motif and to spend the day painting, endeavouring to capture the light and mood of the space.

The mural, aptly depicts the Australian Lighthorsemen who took part in the last great cavalry charge at Beersheba on 1 October 1917.
