The Kyneton Art Group started over 40 years ago with a small group of 11 ladies who attended evening art classes at the Kyneton High School. The group flourished and with the help from Stephen West and a grant from the Victorian Arts Council, a rental for a permanent meeting place at the Red Brick Hall was established through the Macedon Ranges Shire Council.
Today, the Kyneton Art Group has around 30 members who meet on a regular basis at this same location in Kyneton. The Hall provides sufficient studio space for equipment storage and for members to create artwork, share their ideas, give support and encouragement to their fellow members and have the opportunity to develop their artistic skills.
The group is a friendly one, never intimidating. Members work in a variety of mediums and styles, and their artistic experience varies from beginners to professional artists.
