Diana Donelan
Originally trained as a commercial artist in Brisbane during the 1960’s, I later decided to expand my outlook to Fine Art. Studying at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, graduating in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Fine Art Painting. I have exercised my work through various art galleries in Queensland and Victoria, since then. I currently participate in many locally based art communities in the Macedon Ranges and in metropolitan Melbourne. Colour is an essential aspect of my work. Expressionism is my vehicle and I use the human form and landscapes as my point of departure to make my statements. These particular pieces, focus on the local Pyalong and Macedon Ranges regions. These landscapes show strong line work, colour and mark making, showing influence from Fred Williams.
